As the Dawn Breaks (Dusk Til Dawn, #1.5) by Erin Noelle
This novella, to follow on from Erin Noelle's hugely successful book 'When The Sun Goes Down', is sure to make all the 'Leo' fans happy, and the Lucca fans too!
I started reading 'As The Dawn Breaks' not really knowing what would happen to the intriguing Leo. Even though I loved him in the first book, at times I was scratching my head wondering what made him tick, and why some of the events happened. I was pleasantly surprised! Leo's story showed a completely different side to him, and I must say, I am now, #TeamLeo AND #TeamLucca!
I loved that Erin started the story, right where the last book ended, so, I could catch up, and be reminded of just how tough and sometimes scary, Leo really is. We then jump 2 years later, where Leo meets Trystan, and there is an instant connection between these 2. They both have secrets of their own, but, they don't wait long to share them with each other. My heart melted when Trystan revealed her deepest secret to Leo, he was so understanding and showed her he's not like most men by reacting in a way she hadn't experienced before. The book is set over a few years, and for a novella, I found it refreshing that this was the case. Usually, when it is a short book, the story runs only over a few weeks. I loved the small part Katrina and Lucca had, and they pop up in the story several times. I really enjoyed reading about them again.
I would recommend you read 'When The Sun Goes Down' before reading 'As The Dawn Breaks' to get a full understanding of the characters and their relationships.
Oh, and I completely adored the dedication. You'll know what I mean when you read it. ;)
